From DALLAS – 194 miles
Take I-30 East out of the DFW area to Hwy 259 North (Exit 178) near
DeKalb. If you get to the New Boston exit, you've gone too far. When
you get to Idabel, turn right at the intersection near the Church of
Christ. This puts you on the Hwy 259 By-Pass. When you get to the next
intersection (David Beard's Catfish King, Valero Road Runner), continue North to Broken
Bow on Hwy 259.
From HOUSTON - 340 miles
Take Hwy 59 North to Nachogdoches. Take Hwy 259 North. When you get to Idabel, turn right at the intersection near the Church of
Christ. This puts you on the Hwy 259 By-Pass. When you get to the next
intersection (David Beard's Catfish, Valero), continue North to Broken
Bow on Hwy 259.
From SHREVEPORT – 152
miles
Take Hwy 71 North to Texarkana. Take I-30 West to Hwy 82. Take Hwy 82
West to Hwy 259 North near DeKalb. When you get to Idabel, turn right
at the intersection near the Church of Christ. This puts you on the
Hwy 259 By-Pass. When you get to the next intersection (David Beard's Catfish King,
Valero, Road Runner), continue North to Broken Bow
on Hwy 259.
From OKLA CITY – 236
miles
Take I-40 East to Henryetta, to the Indian Nation Turnpike to Antlers.
From there take Hwy 3 East to Broken Bow.
From TULSA – 207 miles
Take Hwy 75 South to Henryetta, to the Indian Nation Turnpike to Antlers.
From there take Hwy 3 East to Broken Bow.
From BROKEN BOW - the intersection of Highways 3,
70 and 259:
Take Hwy 259 North approximately 7 miles.
As you are driving north, you'll notice the primary
entrance to Hwy 259-A South entrance to Beavers Bend Resort Park and Cabins. Then, 259A-North Entrance to Beavers Bend and the dam; then Stevens Gap and Lakeview Lodge road to the marina and
Lodge. Next is the Carson Creek entrance to Broken Bow Lake, then Cedar Creek Golf Course. About 45 minutes past that is the Talimena Scenic Drive.
Do not use MapQuest, Google, GPS,etc. You will not get to Pine Meadow cabins at Beavers Bend.
